LAY CURATE - MARK BROOMHEAD |
 |
My current role is as “Lay Curate” at Clay Cross and Danesmoor while I
work towards ordination as a “Pioneer Minister” in June 2008. I am
studying via mixed mode training at St Johns College Nottingham and my
main focus is leading a fresh expressions/emerging church congregation
called “Sanctum” based at the St Barnabas Centre in Danesmoor.
I have been playing bass in Christian Metal/Rock bands for 21 years
including – Exoria, Fire Fly, Detritus and Seventh Angel. Sanctum has a
worship style that is heavily influenced by Rock culture and amongst our
plans are the development of a record label and a festival.
I am married to Sarah with two daughters Kiaya and Eden.
Previous jobs include being a secondary school food technology teacher
and selling “exotic” pets at a garden centre. I enjoy boogie boarding
and mountain boarding but am rubbish at both, I also enjoy making things
like food, beer, this website, my bass and at the moment a friend and I
are converting a motorbike into a trike!
I was born in Lincoln in 1971 but grew up in Nailsea near Bristol where
I attended Holy Trinity Church.
