St Johns

St John's was built in 1891 as a mission church in North Wingfield Parish. It has since become a District in the Team Ministry. We are a small church with a small congregation who have big ideas and hopes for the future. It is already happening!

Church buildings and grounds work parties

Every first Wednesday of the month a group of people meet to maintain the buildings and grounds. There are always jobs to do and the more people we have to help the better. Please bring tools with you. We meet at 2.00pm and usually finish after about 2 or 3hours.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Lyndsey Wearin and Helen Johnson who both ran in the Race for Life to raise money for Cancer Research.

Building Project

There will be a new entrance area which will include a disabled toilet. We are also putting in a new kitchen which will meet health and safety requirements and be a big benfit to all users of the hall.

We have nearly all the funding we need to complete the hall extension and kitchen. We have demolished the old porch and store room (see opposite) and will start building soon.
