Vision Statement

This vision statement was put together by the congregation of Sanctum back in 2006 when we were few in numbers and

dreaming! We believe the vision still stands and are excited to see it shaping our congregation as we continue to grow.

To worship God

• To create a place where we are comfortable to worship freely and openly.
• To explore new and culturally relevant ways to express our worship
• To encourage each others gifts

To learn more about/grow closer to God

• Through teaching, prayer and sharing with one another

To create a refuge

• A place of quiet in this busy world
• A community to support through prayer, friendship and practical help.
• A place that can be home to the spiritually homeless
• A place of honesty

To be a light in the world

• To be positive influence in our community, both local and cultural, national and international, sharing Gods love through friendship and practical help.
• To communicate the gospel through music, art, culture and relationships

To see growth

• Spiritually as individuals and as a congregation
• In numbers
• Financially to support the work of the church and it’s missions
• To support members ministries

To be a place of fellowship

• Social time and events to build relationships within Sanctum, the rest of the congregation and the wider church.
