Thank you for loving us so much that you sent your son Jesus to live and to die for us, so that we might know that we too are your children.
Thank you that just as you delighted in him and loved him, so you delight in us and love us too. Knowing he was loved by you, Father, must surely have enabled Jesus to face the suffering of his death on the cross.
Help us to know the assurance of that same love, deep in our hearts.
May that knowledge and assurance strengthen, equip and sustain us when life is difficult and we feel like giving up.
Help us to keep going Lord, in Jesus’ name and by the power of your loving Spirit.
